Broken Top Summit

Alpinedon is a blog dedicated to revealing the spiritual, emotional and ultimately healing aspects of the pursuits of mountaineering, rock climbing, hiking and river running. Often these sports are typically seen as youth-oriented, ego-centric, overtly physical activities, but nothing could be further from the truth, with young and old alike finding joy, pleasure, and spiritual satisfaction in the mountains, along the trail and on the water. Join us as we climb higher, hike further and paddle deeper into the realm of outdoor adventure.

  1. My friend, you are in the zone! Very nice pictures/videos and great narrative skills. I forgot all about Castle Crags until I saw your climb. Your exploration of tao and whitewater rafting took me back to our American River adventures, specifically Black Jack Falls. In the zone indeed.

    • Thank you so much! That really means a lot to me. I have been really putting a lot of energy and focus into this, so your compliment really does mean a great deal to me.

  2. I have to agree with you. I surfed, stand up paddle boarded, and kayaked for the first time in the last month. All very spiritual and all hugely affected my life. Thanks for the follow. Sam 🙂

  3. Hi
I’m just venturing into the worlds of climbing and the benefits it may have for my Aspergers. I was full of self pity extremely over weight and a lost. I finally realized that I was the only one who could change me, so I have now lost over seven stone, I cycle every day and run regularly, I have climbed some of the mountains in wales and Scotland and have began a indoor climbing course, I hope some day to ascending some of the worlds big peaks. This looks like a cool site for me to follow a kindred spirit. Ged

    • Awesome! So glad you found my site. Climbing has been a great thing for this aspie, one of the very best things I have ever had happen to me. Glad to hear you are embracing your own life and taking charge. I firmly believe we aspies can do anything, we just require some self-training! Cheers.
